Dolores del Río

The private collection of manuscripts, printed documents and portraits of the Mexican actress Dolores del Rio, thanks to her good friend, Felipe Garcia Beraza, who convinced the widower of the actress, Lewis Riley, was deposited in the History Archive of Centro de Estudios de Historia de Mexico Condumex in the corresponding Item MXXIV, where it was sorted, classified and made available to people interested and researchers of this great figure of the history of Mexican cinema.

Dolores del Río was an elegant and refined woman, with a personality full of charm, grace and virtues; a protagonist with a beauty and elegance who arrived at Hollywood succeeding in silent and talking films. The portrait that illustrates the text shows the artist with her trophy, awarded as the best, and winner of the thirteen “baby stars” in 1926 by the “WAMPAS”, as well as for achieving the highest popularity, based on public voting.
